Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel RN Contract Location : Jefferson, NC 28640 (North Carolina healthcare jobs) Unit : Labor & Delivery (LDRP Unit) Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Duration : 13-week nursing contract Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1590 - $1700 Patient Ratios : 1 : 1–2 Float Requirement : May float to MedSurg, CNA, secretary, or helping hands roles as needed Weekend Requirement : As determined by department needs Scrubs : Navy Blue Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D nurse jobs) Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state (must be in hand by start date) Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced, Fetal Heart Monitoring Proven experience with LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) care Expertise in fetal heart monitoring and managing high-acuity / high-risk cases Ability to work independently in a small, close-knit healthcare department Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed Experience with Centricity and Meditech Magic charting systems preferred Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding promptly to high-risk situations Assist with deliveries and specialized procedures as required Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to MedSurg or other supportive roles within the hospital as needed Accurately document all patient care activities using hospital charting systems Maintain a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment for patients and families Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
