The salary for this position is structured into a pay plan with 9 total steps. At 6 months of employment, the salary will increase to $65,844.74, and at 18 months, it will increase to $69,906.46. These increases are based on service time and require a 'Meets Standard' performance rating.
This examination is open to all candidates who meet the minimum requirements. Applications will be accepted only during the designated filing period and must be submitted online through the District's Online Employment Center by 11 : 59 p.m. Central Time on the closing date.
Responsibilities for this position include performing technical tasks related to operations, maintenance, design, construction, surveys, or inspection of projects at water reclamation plants, pumping stations, intercepting sewers, and stormwater management projects.
Minimum requirements include possession of a valid driver's license, graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent, and two years of sub-professional engineering experience. College or technical training beyond high school in engineering, construction management, construction technology, or mathematics may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
The examination will consist of a written test weighted 100%, assessing candidates' knowledge, skill, and ability in areas such as mathematics, engineering concepts, and safety principles. The minimum passing score on the written test will be 70% unless determined otherwise by the Director of Human Resources.
