About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Peds - Critical Care NP in Texas!

Our client in Texas is actively seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Critical Care Medicine for a 24-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves a 1.5 FTE schedule covering a Peds CICU, with typical shifts Monday-Friday 7 AM to 8 PM and weekends 8 AM to 9 PM. You will manage congenital and acquired heart disease patients, including those requiring heart transplant management and ventricular assist device placement.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 1.5 FTE coverage in a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
• Manage patients with congenital and acquired heart disease in both pre and post-operative periods.
• Oversee medical management for a diverse patient population within a CICU and step-down acute care cardiology unit.
• Care for patients referred for heart failure management, including ventricular assist device placement and heart transplantation.

Additional Information

• Board Certifications required in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Experience with Epic EMR system.
• Typical shifts are Monday-Friday 7 AM to 8 PM, with weekend shifts from 8 AM to 9 PM.
