About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for its Utility Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Inspection, Quality, and Testing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the business segment, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and quality performance. This executive will oversee P&L, business development, and strategic planning, driving operational consistency and efficiency across large-scale T&D inspection and construction oversight programs. Key responsibilities include leading a team of technical and inspection professionals, serving as the primary customer engagement executive, and partnering with executive leadership on strategic growth initiatives. The role demands a seasoned industry professional with a deep understanding of utility-scale T&D operations, a proven track record in business development, and a strong focus on high-voltage transmission line construction practices.
Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the utility industry, with a specific emphasis on transmission line construction, maintenance, and inspection. A background as a hands-on inspector, with a deep technical understanding of QA / QC, testing, and inspection services, is essential. The role requires a leader with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership position, demonstrating P&L ownership and business development responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, and experience with O&M and construction management in utility environments. Strong skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications, as well as a proven ability to track performance metrics for operational and financial outcomes, are also necessary. The Vice President will be expected to ensure full compliance with industry standards and regulations and to represent the division with C-Suite executives and Boards.
