ASSISTANT COMMUNITY MANAGER

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of a conventional apartment community. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a customer-focused mindset, ensuring that residents receive exceptional service while maintaining the property to the highest standards. This role requires effective communication, high level of organization, strong attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of property management practices.
Duties
- Answer phone calls in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Fully assist in managing all aspects of community operations, including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
- Utilize OneSite software for managing lease agreements, tenant communications, and property records.
- Assist in conducting regular property inspections to ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new residents and retain current residents.
- Handle resident inquiries and concerns promptly, providing excellent customer service to enhance community satisfaction.
- Potentially negotiate contracts with vendors for maintenance services, ensuring quality work at competitive prices.
- Maintain accurate records related to housing programs and assist residents in understanding their options.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address property issues efficiently and effectively.
- Fully assist in organizing community events to foster resident engagement and build a sense of community.
- Outside marketing required.
Skills

Qualifications
Required Education :
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience in property management may be considered in lieu of formal education.Required Experience :
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, demonstrating a strong understanding of property operations, tenant relations, and maintenance management.Must be licensed by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission, ensuring compliance with state regulations and standards.Proven track record of managing residential or commercial properties, showcasing the ability to maintain high occupancy rates and tenant satisfaction.Required Skills and Abilities :
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with tenants, guests, and team members, fostering a positive community atmosphere.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to efficiently manage daily operations, including leasing, rent collection, and property maintenance.Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite to streamline administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.Ability to analyze financial statements and budgets to optimize property performance and profitability.Problem-solving skills to address and resolve tenant issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer service.Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to property management to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team, ensuring alignment with company goals and standards.Detail-oriented approach to ensure all aspects of property management are handled with precision and care.
