Hematology and Oncology - Physician at IU Health Medical Group - Indiana University Health summary :

A General Oncologist responsible for diagnosing and treating adult hematology and oncology patients in multiple IU Health locations around Indianapolis. The role includes independent clinical judgment, managing interdisciplinary teams, providing medical education, and participating in clinical research. This part-time position involves mostly outpatient care with some inpatient duties and occasional weekend call shifts.

IU Health is seeking a GeneralOncologist to join ourpractice in the Indianapolis area. Locations will include our CICC Methodist, CICC Fishers, theIU Health Joe & Shelly Schwarz Cancer Center, and CICC East !

  • Part-time employment opportunity for general oncology adult patients

30 hours per / week

  • Includes full benefits
  • 100% clinical
  • 75% outpatient, 15% inpatient
  • At least 8 weekends of call annually (inpatient)

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide independent judgement in diagnosis and treatment of patients, formulation of treatment plans, and direction of the interdisciplinary team in achieving the goals of the patient care plan
  • Oversee the team and residents / medical students in all aspects of their assigned duties
  • Provide medical education and multidisciplinary team coordination services
  • Participate in clinical research projects of interest in cooperation with the medical research department
