Job description

Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a major retail distribution location, you will play a key role in managing access control, greeting and assisting guests, and providing an exceptional customer service experience. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a professional presence and monitoring entry points, all while using technology such as computers or tablets. Day Time Mon 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Tue 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Wed 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Thur 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Fri 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, and / or contractors at the front desk in a professional manner.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with visitor management, including logging arrivals and departures and issuing access credentials when appropriate.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and giving directions as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal and client site policies by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk area.
  • Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, following established procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
