The Human Resources Generalist helps to manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The HR Generalist manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas : benefits administration, employee relations, organizational development, training and development, compensation, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment / employment, Human Resources Information Systems, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities : Manages the direct labor recruitment process including recruiting, interviewing, selection and hiring Manages the temporary workforce by working directly with staffing agencies in relation to all hiring, replacement, time trackingetc. Conducts and manages the new hire orientation and onboarding process for all new employees Coordinates benefit enrollments, terminations and changes as necessary (Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, 401k, STD / LTD, COBRA) Processes new hire paperwork, including entering Ceridian and creating personnel files Point of contact for all associates on questions and issues such as policies, benefit enrollment options Manages the off-boarding process for associates, including exit interviews, appropriate system changes and analysis of data Manages associate relations investigation process when disciplinary action may be warranted, with appropriate recommendations Assists and guides Supervisors and Team Leaders with the application of policies and processes Assists with coordinating meetings and engagement programs / activities COBRA / FMLA / Leave Administration including distribution and tracking of paperwork, approval determinations and managing time off Partner with safety to support workers compensation investigations and claims processing with third party claims administrator Partner with Manager and Supervisor to oversee performance review process through document revision and distribution and final delivery Recommends, revises, interprets and communicates personnel policies Responsible for integrity of all data regarding Viant Medical employees in systems such as Ceridian, Ultra time Maintains the latest knowledge base of Human Resources legal issues and ensures the organization's adherence to all relevant Wisconsin employment laws / practices Responsible for monthly HR Metrics including turnover data
Knowledge / Education : Bachelor's Degree in business, industrial relations, psychology or a related field Job Experience : 4-7 years' experience working with various roles and areas of Human Resources Experience in payroll processing, staffing / recruitment, benefits administration, performance management systems, employee relations, training and individual and organizational development
Skills / Competencies : Bilingual Problem Solving & Project Management Communication & Interpersonal excellence Time Management, Cross functional engagement with all levels & area of the organization Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Excel skills Physical Requirements : Work in an office environment with varying amounts of walking, sitting, standing, twisting, and turning Long periods of time working on a computer, using hands and fingers extensively
We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $70k-$80k. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
