Senior Director, Global Mobility
ADP is hiring a Senior Director, Global Mobility. Well, this may be the role for you. As Senior Director, Global Mobility, you will develop, define, and implement all aspects of global mobility strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. You will lead our Global Mobility operations, managing tax, compensation, and benefits assignment strategies, overseeing global mobility, immigration, payroll, and tax compliance-related issues, building strong partnerships with Executive Compensation and Global Payroll, and creating seamless integration with subject matter experts while establishing a central point of contact for all Global Mobility needs. In this role, you will oversee the evaluation, development, implementation, and execution of all cross-border movements, including long-term assignments, short-term assignments, extended business travelers, commuter assignments, and remote workers. Additionally, you will be responsible for global expatriate and assignment budget management, overseeing policy delivery, managing all operational aspects of the program, and acting as a strategic advisor to ADP business leaders and senior management.
What You'll Do :
- Partner with HR and Compensation to develop global mobility solutions that attract top international talent in alignment with ADP's talent strategy and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, & Compliance to monitor and ensure compliance with global immigration, tax, and employment laws & regulations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to business and HRBP leadership on Global Mobility trends, risks, opportunities, and best practices, utilizing ongoing metrics and industry benchmark data.
- Develop and implement mobility programs that provide solutions to business talent gaps and that build bench strength by enhancing and broadening the global mindset of the organization.
- Stay current with laws, regulations, technology, and procedures governing mobility and immigration.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Strategically develop regional models for staffing, vendor management, and program management, combining local expertise with global oversight, with a centrally led program.
- Drive global policy rollouts and continuously review mobility programs and processes, spearheading and recommending potential improvements by identifying operational challenges and recommending solutions.
- Partner on global mobility responsibilities with Executive Compensation and Payroll to deliver an effective talent strategy and payroll coordination. Coordinate with HR partners to develop ongoing and repatriation assignment support.
- Manage Global Mobility operations, including employing an in-depth understanding of tax equalization, balance sheets, pay delivery options, cost projections, implications of FX rate changes, global tax, immigration, and payroll issues and solutions, global equity impact on assignments, and year-end summary reports. Provide support to the Compensation and Payroll teams for cross-border transactions, including advice and guidance on international tax and compliance obligations.
- Manage the immigration services team, ensuring compliant and effective use of global work authorizations and immigration processing.
- Lead the Global Mobility team, ensuring team engagement, high productivity, and providing knowledge transfer to them.
- Manage service provider network and all vendor relationships, including vendor selection, implementing RFPs, developing KPIs, developing SLAs, contract negotiation, and implementation. Vendors may include, but are not limited to, household goods shippers, expatriate data providers, relocation management companies, expense management providers, cross-cultural coaching vendors, destination services providers, temporary living providers, expatriate tax services providers, language training vendors, immigration vendors, and education consultants. Align with Domestic relocation vendors when possible.
- Develop, implement, and analyze surveys incorporating an action plan based on results. Ensure consistent or improved NPS scores every year.
- Determine key data / metrics to be collected, review, analyze, and create changes when required.
- Manage processes supporting governance and risk management of the mobility program. Manage global compliance risk for cross-border movement as it relates to extended business travelers, commuter arrangements, remote workers, short-term assignments, and long-term assignments. Ensure compliance with local payroll reporting requirements, tax reporting and filing requirements, immigration requirements, and permanent establishment risk.
- Ensure 100% collection of tax equalization settlements promptly and the timely preparation of all global tax returns.
- Partner with Finance to ensure an effective and timely accrual process for all cross-border movements. Establish and adhere to budgets.
- Manage cross-cultural training vendors with talent partners.
Experience : You have 12+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role, including 5+ years of people leader experience.
To Succeed in This Role :
Player-Coach with independent and deep strategic Global Mobility leader experience, including building policy and ensuring a positive associate experience.Expertise in global HR, including monitoring and ensuring compliance with global tax, employment, and immigration laws and regulations.Demonstrated expertise in expatriate compensation strategy, including equalization, the balance sheet approach, and accruals.Experience as a trusted partner and subject matter expert to business and HRBP leadership.Expertise in mobility operations, including broad experience in international mobility practices, laws, regulations, and policies across multiple geographies and demonstration of up-to-date knowledge of industry practices and trends.Experience with visa / immigration and right to work strategies.Global acumen, e.g., living and / or working in another country.Strong technical and data analysis skills, including KPI tracking and reporting.Experience presenting to all levels of the organization, including senior leaders.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including influencing and change management skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.You will have a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent.For additional comfort in the role :MBAPMPYou'll Love Working Here Because You Can :
