Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time itinerant teacher is needed to provide specialized support for visually impaired students within a K-12 school setting. This role involves serving approximately 10 students with varying needs, ranging from one to three sessions per week. The position is based in Shelbyville, TN, and spans the full school year on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities include :

• Delivering specialized instruction and services tailored to students with visual impairments
• Conducting prehensive assessments to evaluate student progress and needs
• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitoring and adjusting IEP goals to ensure effective support and progress
• Collaborating with general education teachers by creating and providing appropriate work and resources
