Flagstaff Shelter Services operates normal administrative business hours from 8AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday.

The Shelter Receptionist sets the tone and pace of the front lobby for clients, staff, donors, and others. They are tasked with representing Flagstaff Shelter Services (FSS) and making a good first impression with individuals who enter our Huntington Shelter / Office. By facilitating professional communication between case managers, shelter coordinators,managers, directors, and clients, this position handles essential administrative tasks and ensures an efficient and organized lobby space.

Responsibilities

Welcome clients, donors, and others as they enter Flagstaff Shelter Services.

Provide a warm and inviting atmosphere, offering assistance and guidance as needed.

Direct individuals to the appropriate program representative within the shelter.

Assist clients in scheduling appointments with case managers; assist clients with resources in conjunction with Case Manager(s).

Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front desk area.

Sort and distribute mail to clients, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Keep track of packages and notify clients and FSS staff of any incoming deliveries.

Maintain an organized schedule and communicate appointment details to all involved.

Report and document all incidents and any facility-related issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Flagstaff Shelter Services operates normal administrative business hours from 8AM to

4PM, Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 2pm.
