American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks Directors, Engineering to lead software development teams in the delivery of payment solutions within the trusted service manager space. Plan, manage, and build-out application platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders on business and technology teams to drive changes required to support payments platforms. Guide system architects on design decisions and considerations. Mentor engineer team members. Contribute to and promote best practices across software engineering teams. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with technical design, delivery, and monitoring of applications in an environment of rapid development, innovation, and continuous improvement. Experience must include 5 years of experience with delivering industry leading solutions to market; managing the technical delivery of cloud-based applications; and HTML, Java, JavaScript, SOAP, Web Services, and XML. Experience must include 4 years of experience with API and API enablement. Experience must include 3 years of experience with enterprise planning and collaboration tools, including Rally, Confluence, and Clarity; integration technologies, including APIs, Web Services, and ETL; Oracle, Rally, RESTful services, SOA architecture, and SQL; and using data modeling to manage requirements. Experience must include 2 years of experience with Cloud-based technologies. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
