As a Lead Clinical Documentation Specialist, your mission will be to:
Analyze clinical workflows across various healthcare environments to improve AI-generated medical notes, including SOAP and Progress Notes, thereby enhancing their quality and utility.
Collaborate with teams in Applied Science, Engineering, and Product Management to refine model requirements and design robust evaluation rubrics for our automated workflows within the EHR.
Leverage your expertise with EMR platforms like Cerner to identify user pain points and provide actionable solutions that enhance the clinical documentation experience.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate AI-generated medical documentation from various clinical settings (ER, outpatient, hospitals) to improve accuracy and usability.
Conduct in-depth analyses of AI agent outputs, utilizing statistical techniques to enhance the quality of automated documentation across healthcare settings.
Work closely with Applied Science and Engineering teams to fine-tune model prompts, ensuring precise clinical documentation.
Develop and implement assessment frameworks to validate the quality of AI outputs, driving continuous improvements in healthcare solutions.
Analyze connections between clinical data standards and EMR systems to promote interoperability and support AI-driven insights.
Qualifications and Experience
Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical workflows, and documentation standards from ER, outpatient, or hospital environments.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with experience in conveying complex clinical insights to diverse audiences.
Minimum of 3 years experience in roles such as medical scribe, clinical documentation specialist, or similar, focusing on healthcare data analysis and optimization.
Proficient with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth).
Knowledge of healthcare data standards, such as SNOMED CT and ICD, along with a desire to leverage AI to improve clinical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, computer science, or relevant experience; advanced degrees or partial medical training is a plus.
Familiarity with healthcare coding systems (SnomedCT, ICD 9/10/11) and healthcare compliance standards like HIPAA.
Experience in a clinical documentation role, such as medical scribe or clinical documentation specialist, is highly valued.

Salary and Benefits:
The hourly hiring range is $29.42 to $60.63, translating to an annual salary between $61,200 and $126,100, with potential equity eligibility.
