We are looking for an experienced SITE SAFETY COORDINATOR   based out of our Indianapolis, IN office.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

The safety coordinator will provide day-to-day direction, leadership, coaching, and sound judgment to eliminate or reduce at-risk environments and behaviors in the workplace.

Assists management and supervision in inspection of workplaces to ensure safe and healthful conditions for the employees.  These operations include substation and mass battery storage system construction.

Assists and conducts all necessary training related to the OSHA construction standards as well as the Sargent Electric Safety Program.

Conducts accident investigations to discover root causal factors and implement action items to avoid reoccurrence.

New employee onboarding will be the responsibility of the Safety Coordinator.

Assume any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Electric Management.

SKILLS :

• Excellent written communication skills.  Proficient with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to type.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.
• Works efficiently under tight time frames, responds to requests in a timely manner, and communicates effectively as a team player.
• Understands the importance of being able to multi-task.
