About The Position

License : ASCP registered PA

Certifications : ASCP

Must-Have :

• Experience in grossing complex specimens.
• Familiarity with LIS systems such as CoPath.
• Ability to handle higher complexity specimens including colon cancers and breast cancers.

Description :

This position focuses on grossing complex surgical pathology specimens.

The individual will primarily work with higher complexity specimens like colon cancers and breast cancers.

There will not be contact with patients, and no phlebotomy is required.

Candidates will not need to perform duties as a generalist.

Certification as an ASCP registered PA is required.

Experience with an LIS system is necessary.

Scrubs in any professional color are acceptable.

No weekend or holiday requirements are present for this position.

There are no standby call requirements for this role.

Training will be provided on-site for the individual assuming this position.

The work is based in an acute care setting.

No specific charting system requirements are needed beyond familiarity with standard health information systems.
