Position Overview :

At Siemens Mobility, we’re redefining how cities move - safer, smarter, and more sustainably. As a Requirements Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that technical requirements for Rolling Stock bids and projects are structured, tracked, and delivered in line with customer specifications. Your expertise will help improve processes, drive consistency, and support high-quality proposals across the bid team.

This role requires strong technical and process skills, with the ability to work closely with your core bid team and the extended bid network to ensure alignment, quality, and timely delivery. You will also contribute to process improvements and provide guidance on tool usage.

What your day may look like :

  • Manage requirements : Ensure that technical requirements are captured, imported, structured, assigned, tracked, and exported correctly according to customer specifications.
  • Ensure process compliance : Apply and improve standardized requirements processes to guarantee high-quality outputs and alignment across the bid team.
  • Leverage tools efficiently : Use requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion) to ensure consistency and quality across proposals.
  • Provide tool guidance : Offer guidance and support on requirements tools usage for the core and extended bid team.
  • Drive continuous improvement : Collaborate with the Enterprise Project Management Office to identify and implement enhancements to requirements management processes.
  • Collaborate across teams : Work closely with the core bid team and extended stakeholders to integrate requirements into proposals efficiently.

To thrive in this role, you have :

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in requirements management within projects or bids, ideally in Rolling Stock, rail transportation, or mobility projects.
  • Proven expertise in DOORS and Polarion; strong user skills required.
  • Experience with Jira, Primavera, or other project / requirements tools is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to ensure technical requirements are accurate, complete, traceable, and delivered on time.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working across core and extended bid teams.
  • An organized, agile work style, comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for internal coordination and external stakeholder interactions.

    This position in located in Sacramento, CA. The salary range for this position is $122,298 - $143,718 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
