Location : North Memorial Health – Robbinsdale, MN

Schedule : Monday–Friday | 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM | Day Shift

Assignment Duration : 8 weeks

Start Date : October 20, 2025

Pay Rate : $20 – $28 / hr

We are seeking an experienced Patient Financial Advocate to join the team at North Memorial Health – Shared Services (Patient Registration Department) in Robbinsdale, MN. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented healthcare professional with strong knowledge of insurance coverage, authorizations, and patient financial assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform financial screening of patients and ensure accounts are cleared for billing
Educate patients and families on insurance benefits, billing, and collection processes
Obtain insurance authorizations and secure payment arrangements
Identify additional payment sources (e.g., Financial Assistance, Medical Assistance programs)
Provide accurate cost estimates and ensure excellent patient service

Requirements

Education : High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Experience :

1–2 years in Patient Financial Advocacy, Patient Registration, or Patient Accounting (required)

Front-end patient financial interactions / customer service experience (required)

EPIC experience (required)

Experience communicating with insurance carriers for authorization (required)

Preferred Skills : Spanish or Hmong speaking
