Overview
Our client, a leader in the office furniture industry, is seeking a Product Engineer to join their team. As a Product Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative product design and development. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title : Product Engineer
Location : GRAND RAPIDS, MI
Pay Range : $60- $65 per hour
Responsibilities
Conduct large, complex engineering assignments related to the creation, development, and improvement of product designs.
Collaborate with engineers, mechanical designers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and marketing to ensure alignment on engineering drawings prior to tool release.
Perform independent studies, analysis, and interpretations to support product development and decision-making.
Evaluate dimensional reports and approve parts for production, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Engage in continuous learning and personal development to expand your engineering capabilities and expertise.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 4 years of experience in product engineering, with a strong background in product design.
Proficiency in CREO and Windchill software- Preferred
Experience in conducting drawing reviews and working with manufacturing facilities and suppliers.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret product and tooling cost data.
