Summary

The future of integrated training systems is being built, operated, and delivered at HII.

HII-Mission Technologies is currently hiring a Systems Engineer to support, design, develop, and test maritime coalition training systems. The selected candidate will support the Integrated Training Systems-Systems Engineering contract for the ITS In-Service Engineering Agent located at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's Dam Neck Activity in Virginia Beach, VA. #LI-MJ1

What you will do

Participate in external meetings to discuss new capability requirements for training systems.

Support systems integration engineering management planning efforts, including development of key programmatic and process documents such as FMS Training Systems Roadmaps and Training Interoperability Assessments.

Collaborate with stakeholders such as NAVSEA Warfare Centers, Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare-International Program Office Systems, and other Navy, military, and multinational organizations to address engineering-level issues.

Review concepts, plans, demonstrations, and technical documents, providing analysis and recommendations.

Participate in the Integrated Training System Working Group (ITSWG), Training Domain IPT (TD IPT), and other technical exchanges.

Provide programmatic technical briefings and white papers as needed.

What you must have

0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.

Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software development and / or coding principals.

Familiarity with systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis, architecture development, and testing processes.

U.S. Citizenship

Current of active DoD Secret Clearance (maintain clearance throughout employment).

Preferred Requirements

Experience with Naval Surface Combat Systems, including Aegis or Ship Self Defense Systems.

Experience with Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) or Advanced Training Domain (ATD).

Familiarity with DOORS-JIRA configuration management tools. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or another engineering / technical discipline.

Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, or software development related to training or simulation environments.

Experience working as a systems engineer within a major shipboard, non-propulsion electronic subsystem

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
