Assistant Facility Security Officer
Parsons is looking for a talented Assistant Facility Security Officer to join our team! In this role you will support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in implementing, managing, and maintaining a robust Industrial Security Program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) / 32 CFR Part 117.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Oversee daily security operations and NISP / NISPOM compliance for a secured facility.
- Administer, coordinate, and evaluate security programs that support the strategy, policies, and standards established for the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organizations facilities and the security of property and assets.
- Compiles data and analyzes results of audits, inspections, daily logs, and incident reports to assess security vulnerabilities, measure program effectiveness, and identify the need for additional resources.
- Coordinate any required security clearance processing or investigative research for employees or job candidates with applicable entities.
- Assists in processing outgoing Visitor Approval Requests (VARs) and foreign travel notifications (SEAD 3 reporting).
- Assist with the development of training, education programs, and communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is prepared for potential security issues, crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events.
- Monitor communication and stay informed about local, state, provincial, or federal security-related information, directives, and events.
- May coordinate or assist with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials.
- Responsible for maintaining security program compliance to include managing NISS facility profiles, submitting changed conditions packages, FCL Sponsorship packages, and responding to FCL packages.
- Investigate, document and submit Security Violations and Incident Reports as needed by applicable government directives.
- Prepare facility for required annual audits / vulnerability assessments conducted by multiple government agencies.
- Administer personnel security system for clearances and periodic reinvestigations through DISS / NISS and other customer methods.
- Coordinate and conduct annual security education and training with the NISPOM, customer requirements, and company policy to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Train and orient employees in security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government and customer regulations.
- Maintain a relationship with multiple DoD Agency Representative(s), DCSA Representative(s), prime contractor and subcontractor FSO's.
- Maintain personnel security records and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) within the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) / 32 CFR Part 117 and PARSONS requirements.
- Administer an inventory and document control program.
- Maintains data compliance in DISS, NISS, SIMS and other systems of record.
- Support the Insider Threat Program as directed by the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO).
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
Active Top Secret w / SCI eligibility is a plus.2+ years of relevant security experience.Familiarity with security protocols and requirements for maintaining a cleared facility and managing personnel clearances, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Experience and proficiency in using industry-standard security programs such as DISS, NISS, SIMS, and other relevant systems for managing security records and compliance.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite for data analysis and reporting.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.Security Clearance Requirement : An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
