Core Responsibilities : Your Impact Day-to-Day
You will be expected to master and strictly adhere to all ANSI / AAMI standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), and internal protocols.
- Decontamination & Technical Processing : Expertly decontaminate, disassemble, clean, and accurately reassemble complex surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and protocols.
- Precision Inspection (QC Focus) : Perform detailed, final-stage inspection of instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to packaging. You are the ultimate quality gatekeeper.
- Sterile Assembly & Packaging : Accurately assemble and package instrument trays and sets according to detailed guidelines, ensuring absolute count and integrity.
- Equipment Operation : Safely and effectively operate washers, sterilizers, and other sterile processing equipment.
- Documentation & Compliance : Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, inventory levels, and documentation of missing / damaged items (per SOPs).
- Process Improvement : Actively provide feedback and suggest improvements to enhance workflow, safety, and operational procedures.
- Maintenance & Inventory : Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment and monitor / maintain instrument and supply inventory levels.
What You Bring : Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Foundations
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent.Certification : Current Certification in Sterile Processing (e.g., CRCST or equivalent) is required.Experience : Proven ability to follow complex technical instructions (IFUs, SOPs) and perform detailed documentation.Core Competencies
