Dimensions are : Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes Displays the mission of the hospital and its values. Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance. Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation. BSN preferred Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA / PCNA / NAII is preferred
Unit information
Portage Medical Center Stepdown unit is a 30-bed unit with all private rooms and an average 4-5 patient ratio. The SDU provides care to a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to : cardiac diseases, pulmonary, renal, trauma, neurovascular and post-surgical care.
