Location: Acute Care/Academic Medical Center, Syracuse, NY.

Employment Type: Full-time.

Hourly Rate: $70/hour.

Position Overview:

Deliver precision radiation therapy in an academic medical environment, utilizing advanced technology to treat oncology patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans while ensuring safety and accuracy in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications:

• Education: Successful completion of an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or graduation from an American Medical Association (AMA)-approved Radiation Therapy Program is required.
• Licensure: Must hold a current and active license issued by New York State (NYS) in Radiation Therapy Technology.
• Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a radiation therapy setting.
• Technical Skills: Must have strong knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance for high-voltage, state-of-the-art radiation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer targeted radiation treatments.
• Operate/maintain advanced radiation equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Position patients accurately for therapy.
• Document treatment delivery and patient responses.
• Collaborate with oncology teams on plan adjustments.
