Position Summary
The Business Analyst role is responsible for working with their functional leader to create and implement processes, workflows, dashboards and analytical reports within the Patient Services and Marketing department(s) within the organization. This role works closely with IT to facilitate effective development and implementation of solutions aimed at providing the tools and information needed to meet company objectives for their assigned business unit.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
Communication and Collaboration
Interact closely with the IT department and business units to achieve company objectives including documentation of processes and procedures, development of new and improved tools and efficiencies, development and delivery of staff training and facilitating the implementation on use of new and updated processes and tools. Participate in cross-functional meetings, workshops, or projects with other business analysts in the organization.
Process and Information Analysis
- Collect, consolidate, and streamline business requirements from the assigned department(s) to develop and improve processes, procedures and workflows.
- Act as a liaison between department staff and IT by gathering end-user request, workflow analysis, business requirements.
- Help identify improvement opportunities, eliminate bottlenecks, and streamline workflows through analysis of data and day-to-day activities across assigned department(s).
Project Management
Manage and participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving company’s business processes within assigned business unit.Assist their functional leader to set project goals, establish timelines, and adequate resources to ensure objectives are met.System Enhancements
Obtain and document end-user feedback and change request(s) to assist with application improvements with respect to end-user adoption, workflow efficiency, and business requirements.Create application SOPs and lead user training of new application and software enhancements.Assist with User-Interface design of business applications and reports.Reporting, Tracking, and Documentation
Facilitate the creation of reports, dashboards for assigned department(s).Assist their functional leader in the development of internal presentations to communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders, including management and decision-makers.Assist with the development of Operational Metrics, and KPI dashboards for assigned department(s).Work closely with their functional leader to manage, prioritize, and document, support, and service requests from assigned department(s) and help facilitate communication through with other business analysts within the organization to ensure strong alignment and communication on companywide projects andOther duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
BA or BS degree in business, IT, business analytics, finance or a related field with 3-5 years of experience.Knowledge and experience working with core business applications and reporting tools such as presentation Microsoft Office suite, Power BI, Excel data analysis, and Adobe Creative suite.Strong analytical, problem solving and data analysis skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of business processes or stakeholder management.Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systgems, and FileMaker.Physical Requirements :
