Job descriptionActive VA License BC / BE DEA certificate Experience providing substance use disorder services Provide substance use disorder services to inmates. Manage detox for non-opioid users. Manage Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid users. Prescribe, as needed, medications for new inmates currently on MAT. Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards. Independently resolve daily medical issues. Work effectively within a correctional setting, demonstrating professionalism and adherence to facility protocols. Other duties as assigned.
Adelphi is seeking a physician assistant (PA) to provide care to patients at a correctional facility in Henrico, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive substance use disorder services to the inmate population among other duties.
