The Production Planner is responsible for providing an interface between customers and in-house personnel, this involves scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the expedient flow of parts through the manufacturing processes to satisfy the customers' delivery requirements and maintaining customer relationships with key accounts by communicating these schedules.

Job Responsibilities :

• Follow Safety Regulations along with all department specific safety requirements
• Communicates with customers concerning requirements, talks with them regarding other customer service-related concerns, and answers any other questions. Approximately 35% of available time is spent maintaining customer contacts
• Acts as liaison between customers, suppliers, and manufacturing and support teams. Communicates customers' requirements and concerns. Acts as the customer intermediary to ensure that specifications are met, and delivery is timely. Engages in these activities about 25% of the time
• Maintains lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
• Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements
• Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
• Monitors throughput and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Prepares production reports and customer delivery schedules for assigned accounts
• Provides schedule / forecast information to purchasing to ensure required materials, tools and equipment are in place
• Updates information on computer for perpetual inventory system
• Supports both short- and long-term capacity analysis
• Works closely with Sales Department for maintenance of customer demand in Oracle system
• Other duties as assigned
