Job description

Job Summary

  • Support sustaining engineering team in understanding products and design / launch processes.
  • Demonstrate experience in 3D modeling of parts and assemblies, using Creo and Windchill PLM.
  • Release build packages for high mix production and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review customer specifications and perform technical analyses to ensure product compliance and robustness.
  • Troubleshoot production issues related to performance, fit, finish, and BOM accuracy.
  • Design and develop mechanical parts / assemblies for new product development (NPD), including FMEA and performance testing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize products for manufacturability, installation, and field service.
  • Participate in NPD meetings and gate reviews to support project progress.
  • Maintain quality by adhering to organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize advanced modeling and predictive analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) as needed.
  • Apply knowledge of HVAC system design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
  • Leverage understanding of lean, Six Sigma, and project management processes (preferred).
  • Use Microsoft Office and possess familiarity with industry regulatory bodies (UL, ETL, AHRI, ASHRAE).
  • Preferred : Lean / Six Sigma certification, HVAC industry experience, electrical / electronics knowledge, and understanding of product cost elements.
