Job description

Quasset accelerates the real-world adoption of new technologies in Asset Management across robotics, software, and data. Technical Project Engineer

Are you passionate about turning cutting-edge technologies into value added applications and looking to advance your career in the innovation space? We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas.

As a Technical Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of our innovation services, responsible for projects centered around the testing, and implementation of solutions to improve Asset Integrity Management in the energy and power sector. You will be involved in the full cycle of the planning and execution of projects to ensure successful delivery to our clients. We use technologies such as non-destructive testing, robotics, mixed reality, data analytics and business intelligence tools.

Additionally, you will be responsible for a portfolio of activities in support of the SPRINT Robotics Collaborative, aimed at accelerating global acceptance and use of robotics for inspection and maintenance.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide industry expertise and technical guidance in the implementation of NDT robotics, and software solutions for industrial applications.
  • Ensure technical and operational feasibility of projects.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments affecting robotics in oil and gas, energy, and the chemical sector.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, white papers, and presentations to document project progress, outcomes, and key findings.
  • Successfully execute and deliver projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope
  • Manage a portfolio of activities in support of the SPRINT Robotics Collaborative.
  • Coordinate with industry partners and other collaborators to foster innovation and knowledge exchange.
  • Writing of project proposals, in close communication with the stakeholders
  • Coordinating internal and external tasks and activities to successfully execute and deliver projects

Your profile

  • Technical background, BSc / MSc level, preferably in the field of engineering, science or mechatronics
  • At least 5-7 years practical experience with new technologies in technical / operational environment, preferably in the energy or power industry
  • Hands-on engineering experience in NDT methods, testing, validation and integration is a strong advantage
  • Project management experience in technical projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication is a pre
  • Demonstrated strong operational capabilities in coordinating various activities to ensure smooth execution
  • Strong presentation and client-facing skills
  • Awareness of the needs of stakeholders across many cultures and nationalities
  • Willingness to travel, sometimes internationally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills business-proficient and fluent in English
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
  • Attention to detail, prioritize and consistently meet deadlines
  • A proactive and positive attitude, able to work independently and as a team player, willing to help
  • The ability to pivot and juggle changing work priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A curiosity for NDTs and innovation in the energy or power sector
