Summary

The Manager Solutions Design supports Ryder’s supply chain growth by winning new business, demonstrating customer business understanding, designing financially compelling content, shaping win plans, managing the solution design process, and delivering proposals and presentations.

Responsibilities

Support new business pursuit : demonstrate customer business understanding and design content that illustrates financial value.

Shape win plans consistent with solution design with the pursuit team.

Manage the solutions design process, holding internal and external SMEs accountable to project expectations and timelines.

Create content aligned with Ryder’s operational and technical capabilities.

Write and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to influence customer decisions.

Act as project lead or independent team member across pursuit stages.

Essential Functions

Project Management – manage cross‑functional teams, create and manage milestones, lead calls, manage deliverables, and maintain communication.

Meet frequently with customers and bid response team; support technical review presentations and design validation meetings.

Develop proposal – craft customer stories, articulate value propositions, and collaborate with Sales Lead on final proposal.

Collaborate with Sales leader to develop win strategy : research industry, understand pain points, assess competitive landscape, and perform stakeholder analysis.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to translate complex designs into clear terms.

Build and maintain professional relationships with all organizational levels.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project knowledge is a plus.

Use AI tools to develop content and presentations.

Influence teams using facts, statistics and analytics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or Journalism.

Five or more years in a similar role coordinating across functional teams and producing proposals or presentations.

Experience in a third‑party logistics (3PL) organization is a plus.

Project Management experience is a plus.

Compensation Information

Position is salaried with a pay range of $125,000 to $140,000. Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and / or long‑term incentive plan based on level and type.
