ABOUT THIS ROLE

We’re looking for a modern sales leader who combines the discipline of traditional selling with the mindset of a digital growth operator. You’ll lead Xe’s SMB Payments sales team in North America — a group focused on acquiring and growing small and medium-sized businesses through both outbound engagement and digital inbound conversion.

This role is perfect for someone who understands how to build and manage a high-performing sales team, but also knows how to use data, funnel metrics, and digital assets to find and convert high-potential customers.

OUR PRINCIPLES

  • AMBITION - We dream big, try things out and always ask “why not?” and “what if?” We’re ambitious in our thinking and our delivery
  • RESPONSIBILITY - We get involved, bring our perspective, and are always open to new ideas. We take personal responsibility
  • COMMUNITY - We value a sense of belonging, trusting each other and encouraging authenticity. We contribute to our community

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and coach a team of SMB sales professionals focused on new customer acquisition and growth
  • Partner with digital, marketing, and product teams to convert inbound SMB leads generated from Xe’s website and campaigns (15M+ monthly visitors, thousands of business sign-ups)
  • Design and execute test-and-learn experiments to improve conversion rates, activation, and retention
  • Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and performance metrics (lead-to-close conversion, CAC, LTV, ROAS)
  • Build and manage key partnerships to expand Xe’s reach within the SMB ecosystem
  • Ensure consistent, compliant, and customer-centric sales practices across the team
  • Translate data insights into sales action plans and performance coaching
  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience leading SMB or mid-market sales teams in fintech, SaaS, or payments
  • Strong understanding of digital lead generation, funnel management, and customer acquisition strategies
  • Skilled at balancing team-driven outbound sales with data-driven inbound optimization
  • Hands-on leader who can both set strategy and coach execution
  • Curious and analytical — fluent in performance metrics and experimentation
  • Collaborative mindset; thrives in cross-functional environments with marketing and product teams
  • Background in payments, FX, or financial technology preferred but not essential
  • PERKS & BENEFITS

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 401K Plan with Match
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Paid Vacation / Sick Leave
  • Hybrid Work Schedule
  • Tuition Assistance
  • Growth Opportunities
  • Corporate gatherings, team bonding events, and much more!
  • Plumm Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Volunteering day for a charity of your choice
  • XE offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated pay for this (Salary Exempt or Non-exempt hourly rate) role ranges from ($115,000USD to $146,000USD).  Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
