About the Opportunity :
- Start Timeline : Ability to deploy within 48 hours of notice
- Shift : Day (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM) or Night (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)
- Schedule : 12-hour shifts; flexible assignments
- Setting : Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response
- Deployment Locations : New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Thibodaux, Hammond, Monroe, Bossier City
Responsibilities :
Supporting medication dispensing and vaccination at Points of Dispensing (PODS) sites and medical sheltersAssisting patients with access to prescription medications and providing basic educationPerforming medication reconciliation, management, and record keepingPreparing, packaging, and labeling prescriptions (Pharmacy Technicians under Pharmacist supervision)Maintaining medication inventory and stock controlCollaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication useQualifications : Pharmacist :
Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed PharmacistActive, unencumbered Pharmacist license (Louisiana licensure may be required)BLS / CPR certification preferredStrong knowledge of medication therapy managementExcellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skillsPharmacy Technician :
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy TechnicianActive, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license or certification (Louisiana compliance may be required)BLS / CPR certification preferredStrong skills in medication preparation, handling, and inventory managementEffective organizational and multitasking abilitiesDesired Skills :
Prior experience in hospital, urgent care, or emergency response environmentsTraining or certification in immunization support or clinical pharmacy (Pharmacist)Familiarity with medication management systems and inventory softwareAbility to adapt quickly in high-volume, fast-paced settingsCompassionate and patient-centered approach to care
