Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Minimum two years of nursing assistant experience required.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Current LNA, CNA, or UCNA licensure with state of Arizona.

Essential Functions

Assists clinical staff in PACU / Pre-Op by facilitating the patient flow.

Transports patient belongings from Pre-Op to PACU, locking all belongings in patient locker.

Cleans monitors and sets up Pre-Op bays for incoming patients.

Stocks supplies in Pre-Op and PACU

Assists patients to the restroom in Pre-Op

Transports patients to their vehicle from PACU.

Assists charge nurse with any clerical needs.

Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of patients in the delivery of services to them. Interacts with patient in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.

Maintains flexibility with scheduling and job assignments in order to cover patient needs. Ability to work in multiple hospital units.

Fosters a positive and professional hospital environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member.

Has successfully complete required competencies required of position and various tasks as assigned by the nurse lead or designee and according to policy.

Other duties as assigned.
