MICU RN Job Details Job Title : MICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse Location : Florence, South Carolina 29505 Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026) Facility Type : Acute Care Hospital Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am); holiday rotation and every other weekend required Weekly Hours : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680-$1730 Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 EMR : Epic Scrub Color : Royal Blue Parking : Free on-site Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (required before start) Minimum 1 year recent MICU RN experience (2 years preferred) Travel nursing experience required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Experience with Epic EMR preferred Must reside outside a 60-mile radius (locals not accepted) First-time travelers not accepted Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) MICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in the MICU Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including multisystem organ dysfunction / failure Administer emergency medications and blood products Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and advanced cardiac drips Assist with procedures : chest tube insertion / removal, ECMO, CVVHD / CRRT Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care Float to similar critical care units as needed Participate in holiday and weekend rotations Discover Florence, SC—where Southern hospitality meets vibrant culture and outdoor recreation.
