Backend Software Engineer (TS / SCI Cleared)

We are seeking a Backend Support Software Developer for a fully onsite role with high visibility, working in direct support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).The position focuses on enhancing existing code, integrating backend solutions, and ensuring mission systems remain secure, scalable, and reliable. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical challenges, support incident response, and drive continual system improvements that enable safe and effective aeronautical navigation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues involving REST APIs, databases, and applications.- Develop, enhance, and document backend functionality within GitLab repositories using DevOps practices.- Collaborate with Agile teams in sprint planning, standups, and testing activities using Atlassian tools (Jira / Confluence).- Apply expertise in Python, C#, and / or Java to deliver scalable backend solutions.- Contribute to system development for analytics, exploitation, production, and dissemination using cloud, SOA, web services, and virtualization technologies.- Support and enhance incident response procedures, ensuring quick turnaround for operational stability.- Integrate open-source and GOTS solutions into enterprise systems.- Plan and prioritize development tasks, delivering results aligned with User Story Acceptance Criteria.- Apply cloud computing knowledge to modify backend systems and APIs for visualization and data filtering.
