Dental Assistant - SCI Waymart

THE POSITION

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our dental team in the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Waymart

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Dental Assistant for the Department of Corrections, you will work with our experienced Dentists to provide basic dental services, in a compassionate and professional manner, to our inmate population.

As a Dental Assistant you will be assisting a Dentist during the examination and treatment of patients, scheduling appointments and managing daily patient flow, maintaining dental records, providing chair side assistance, maintaining dental office equipment and performing dental laboratory procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
• Work hours are 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes). However, a higher salary may be established in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement .
