Job description

SUMMARY :

Maintain and support the operation of network services, responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network problems, willingness to work in a 24X7 NOC. Must have the ability to distribute knowledge to technicians and manage projects in a timely, high-quality manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following :

  • Assists in the design, coordination, and installation of multi-user applications network, including a network operating system, maintaining data integrity and system quality.
  • Ensures a superior level of user service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained throughout the

property.

  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all applications on the network operating system.
  • Enforces standards of security, system integrity and confidentiality within the department.
  • Assists in testing and making purchase decisions for hardware, software, and network technologies.
  • Routinely inspects all supported equipment on property, identifying potential problems and coordinating.
  • necessary repairs.

  • Coordinates the troubleshooting and repair of all supported equipment on property.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of file servers and network operating systems.
  • Creates and documents technical procedures for the Information Support Department.
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for the quality and integrity of systems on property.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Must be able to maintain an appropriate Gaming License.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

    EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Sciences or Business Administration from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of five years' experience required, working with, and supporting network operating systems.

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

    Must possess superior computer skills and be proficient in software applications currently in use by the company. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Must be able to communicate with all members of the Systems Team in a professional, cordial manner, to successfully accomplish departmental and company goals. Must be well organized, with the ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and keep Systems Team apprised of any issues that might affect deadlines. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an

    extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the associate will use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate may climb or balance; and kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Associate will often walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, or squat.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    The Associate will frequently lift, move, or carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Occasionally the Associate may lift, move, or carry more than fifty (50) pounds.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounter while performing the functions of this job.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    When on the casino floor or other designated areas may encounter tobacco smoke and / or bright flashing lights.
