Description
Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs equipment startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) following detailed instructions, checklists, guides, standard protocols, and email directives.
Conducts post-execution quality checks to ensure grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling meet safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting using standard procedures, quickly identifies root causes, and replaces faulty components as needed.
Decommissions hardware for routine changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) in accordance with established procedures and minimal supervision.
Adheres to communication and escalation protocols for reporting incidents to appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads.
Requirements :
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
1+ year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
Basic proficiency with common office applications (email, spreadsheets, word processing).
Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays.
Previous data center experience is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00 / hr.
