  • We are currently hiring for one position that may be based out of either our Florida or California office locations.
  • While we are considering candidates from both coasts, only one role will be filled.

      This position collaborates with the Mgr, Creative Operations and other members of the marketing team to bring to life effective and eye-catching designs and campaigns.

      As a graphic designer, this role uses the talent, experience and passion for design to create innovative and compelling content.

      This role can create assets for various platforms including social media, print, mobile, and emerging media.

      This role expertly and actively manages the required workflow and demands of various projects.

      This position collaborates with other creative team members, the marketing team, and other departments within the organization for deliverables and projects.

      Essential Responsibilities :

    • Design Function : Collaborates with the Mgr, Creative Operations, other members of the marketing team and clients to support all organization creative and marketing obligations.
    • Takes the lead to create modern, compelling, unique, and inventive brand and marketing campaign designs across multiple platforms from concept to delivery.
    • Determines voice and messaging for graphic design pieces.
    • Quality assurance function for design spelling, grammar, and file production issues.
    • Manages a range of design revisions as needed.
    • Works with a wide range of media and graphic design software.
    • Produces and organizes final files for print production and / or digital use.
    • Applies ingenuity, creativity, analytical, and organizational skills to identify and evaluate design problems and develop strong solutions.
    • Ensures projects are completed in a timely manner and under the budget restrictions.
    • Manages multiple projects with different timelines and deadlines.
    • Familiarity and alignment to brand guidelines and understanding of how they intuitively drive the visual direction of marketing and communications.
    • Works with clients to understand the requirements of a project and provides a timeline and updates as the project progresses to build on the client relationships.
    • Additional Responsibilities :

    • Perform general administrative duties including but not limited to : Effectively handle various communications from, and to, stakeholders and other marketing team members via company messaging, telephone and e-mail, and determine the appropriate action that needs to be taken.
    • KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Minimum Education Required to Perform Job :

    • High School Diploma or GED Minimum Years of Relevant Work Experience Required to Perform Job Upon Hire : 5 to 7 years Specific Experience Required : Portfolio of work that shows a wide range of creative projects Other Training, Technical Skills, or Knowledge Required : Fluency in a Mac environment Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud : Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint with experience creating PowerPoint presentations Experience in fine arts, graphic design or visual communications with an emphasis in print and digital media Photo editing skills Understanding of print and digital specifications needed for all assets Ability to learn and use design software programs to build emails and organize an asset library Well versed and experienced in design techniques, tools, principles, and typography Aware of market trends in design as well as current Disney brands, properties, and priorities Understanding of email design and email campaign processes Other Measurable Abilities Required : Ethical values Positive and outgoing personality, flexible, responsive Team player and self-directed, self-starter Exceptional level of creativity and innovation required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Able to adapt and pivot in an ever-changing environment Strong analytical skills Outstanding time management and organizational skill Shift Work : Generally Monday-Friday day shifts SCOPE OF JOB Discretion / Latitude : Follows written and verbal instructions Follows established guidelines & procedures Participates in the establishment or updating of guidelines and procedures Works closely with the Mgr, Creative Operations to gather the information needed to perform the job, then independently completes the work Receives supervision to ensure the visual brand standards are maintained and concepts are captured as needed Role makes design decisions which will then be reviewed by leadership for final approval Typical Interactions : Departmental Interaction Marketing & Business Development Team (Frequently) Peer collaborations (Frequently) Interdepartmental Interaction Other Department Project Stakeholders (Frequently) IT (Occasionally) Walt Disney Co. business units (Occasionally) Physical Demands & Environmental / Working Conditions : This position is performed primarily in a traditional office or bank / credit union setting, with no expected adverse environmental conditions.
    • This position requires the ability to :

    • move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods adjust or move objects up to 15 pounds in all directions perform repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and / or fingers use primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together verbally communicate to convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information prepare or inspect documents or products, assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work, or operate office machinery through average, ordinary, visual acuity.

    • The hiring range for this position in Florida is $56,800 to $85,200 per year and in California is $68,640 to 96,240 per year.
    • The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
