LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology MD in Iowa!

About The Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Obstetrician and Gynecologist for a locum tenens assignment in Iowa. This opportunity, starting on Jan 2, 2026, involves a 50-day commitment with a flexible shift schedule of 24-hour on-call duties, typically 1-2 weeks per month. The role requires handling diverse cases, including C-section capabilities, and prioritizes candidates who are board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care
  • Manage and perform C-section operations as required
  • Ensure continuous patient care during on-call service hours
  • Respond to emergency cases with promptness and expertise
  • Utilize the Epic EMR system to document patient interactions and care plans

  • Required Board Certifications : Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Must hold a valid Iowa medical license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification needed
