The Bookkeeper will work closely with the AP & Forensic Accountant and Corporate Controller, and accounting team to perform daily accounts payable functions, reconcile accounts, and support company financial processes. This role is responsible for maintaining precise financial records and ensuring seamless operations, contributing to the company's continued growth and excellence in hospitality.
Pay Rate : $22-$26 per hour
This is a temporary position to provide coverage during a maternity leave. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, averaging 25-30 hours per week, with flexibility to work between the hours of 8 : 30am- 5 : 00pm. The role is on site at the Mirbeau Plymouth location 35 Landmark Drive, Plymouth MA.
Accounts Payable
Process accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate data entry
Conduct weekly check runs and record ACH paymentsRecord credit card purchase activity and manage credit card transactionsReconcile credit card statements and perform monthly AP accrualsContact vendors as needed, including requesting W9 formsTrack expenses and ensure proper allocation to departments and propertiesCash & Bank ManagementRecord daily cash activity and deposits to the bank
Record posted daily cash activity and verify actual cash countsMonth-End & Year-End SupportAssist with month-end reclassifications and closing procedures
Assist in gathering documentation for year-end auditsAdministrative & General SupportData entry and check processing
Maintain clean and organized email inboxes by ensuring messages are promptly reviewed, responded to, and properly filed or archived.Complete various administrative or project-related tasks as requiredCommunicate with vendors, property managers, and department heads to resolve discrepanciesMaintain compliance with company policies and internal controlsMaintain a clean and organized workspaceQualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements :Qualifications & Education
High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
Bookkeeping or accounting experience in hospitalityEntry-level understanding of accounting processes and proceduresTechnical Skills & Computer ProficiencyMicrosoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)
Familiarity with basic Excel functionsStrong typing skills with high attention to detailData entry accuracy and record-keeping proficiencyAccounting & FinanceExperience with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management
