About The Position

Job Title : Interventional Radiology Technologist

Hours per Shift : 8 or 10 hours

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have : IABP experience, Cath Lab experience

Description :

Department : Cath Lab, EP, IR, Vascular Tech

Number of suites / labs : 7 rooms total (4 Cath Lab / EP, 3 IR)

Average cases per day : 20+ across all rooms

Common diagnoses / types of patients include :

• Cath Lab : LHC, RHC, PCI, Structural, Watchman, Impella, IABP, IFR, FFR, IVUS, STEMI, Roto, Laser
• EP : Ablations for A.Fib, A. Flutter, SVT, VT, etc.
• EP studies with programmed stimulation, Pacemaker & ICD placements, Loop recorder implants
• IR : Port placements, liver biopsies, IVC placements, g-tube placements, PICC & Central Line placements, Neuro (coiling, thrombectomy, embolizations, etc.)
• Vascular : Fem-pops, AAA repair, Carotids, EVAR, Angios, and more

Job duties include :

Daily staffing consists of :

Response time for call is 30 minutes.

Hybrid floating for vascular cases may be required.

Provided scrubs with the option to wear personal scrub caps.

Unit-specific orientation typically lasts 2 to 3 full days of training and shadowing.

No call during the first week; on-call with a buddy during the second week before working independently.
