Head Of Safety

The Head Of Safety will lead the overall safety strategy, governance, and execution for our autonomous vehicle programs. You will ensure that our products meet or exceed industry safety standards, comply with applicable regulations, and maintain public trust. You will oversee the development and execution of safety cases, risk assessments, and validation strategies, guiding multidisciplinary teams across engineering, testing, operations, and compliance.

At Applied Intuition, You Will :

• Define and own end-to-end safety vision, goals, and metrics for autonomous driving systems across the company
• Develop and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) in line with ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), UL 4600, and other relevant standards
• Chair the Safety Board and ensure executive alignment on safety-related decisions
• Serve as the primary safety liaison with regulators, certification bodies, and industry consortiums
• Lead the creation, maintenance, and approval of the Safety Case for autonomous systems, including argumentation, evidence, and traceability and ensure all required areas
• Foster a culture of "safety as a core value" across the organization

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and / or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $400,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices.
