Fund Accountant

Location : Hybrid in Seattle, WA

Contract Type : Contract-to-Hire

Compensation : Competitive market rate (Estimated range : $80,000–$100,000 annually DOE)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity in Seattle, WA . This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and experience managing investment fund accounting, reporting, and reconciliations. The Fund Accountant will work closely with portfolio managers and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

Maintain accurate accounting records for assigned funds, including investment transactions, income, and expenses

Reconcile fund positions, cash balances, and investor capital accounts

Calculate net asset values (NAVs) and prepare related reports

Prepare and review financial statements and investor reporting packages

Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, including SEC and ERISA as applicable

Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for fund activities

Support audit and tax reporting for investment funds

Collaborate with operations, finance, and investment teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

Analyze fund performance and provide insights to management

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2–5 years of fund accounting experience, ideally in investment management, private equity, or hedge funds

Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles

Proficiency in Excel and fund / accounting systems (e.g., Advent Geneva, Eze, NetSuite, or similar)

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical mindset

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams

CPA designation preferred, but not required

Schedule :

Hybrid work model (3 days onsite in Seattle, 2 days remote per week)
