Field Service Engineer - Mideastern

Full Time : Remote, salaried position with travel

• Position Summary :

The Field Service Engineer role requires a motivated, self-starter who is able to work remotely with minimal supervision. You will spend a majority of your time at customer locations, with travel up to 5 days per week. You will provide maintenance, repairs, upgrades, installations, and training on analytical and metallographic instrumentation in our Mideastern Region. This position focuses on LECO’s customer base in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Upstate New York, and West Virginia with travel to surrounding regions on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will reside in Western Pennsylvania or Eastern Ohio. You will build and maintain relationships as a customer facing member of the team while supporting service activities at customer facilities.

Self-motivated with strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

Adhere to customer’s site and safety requirements while conducting yourself in a professional manner

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for a period of 3-5 months

Complete field service training with experienced field service engineers throughout the country

Attend annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan

Ability to travel daily with up to four overnight hotel stays per week (Monday – Friday).

Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Pass a background check and substance abuse screenings

Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction

Should have a personal credit card, or the ability to obtain one

Strong mechanical skills, and previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or the ability to learn

Chemistry or military background is advantageous, but not required
