Senior Consultant
Our Senior Consultant mentors, develops, and coaches our team members while shaping and leading projects, developing relationships with clients, and contributing to business development in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
General Duties
- Guide project work through creative and diligent project planning, including crafting project approaches, assigning roles and responsibilities, monitoring success and managing risks, and discussing needs and options with clients
- Efficiently design, develop, and produce high-quality deliverables using proven methodologies and frameworks
- Lead data-gathering efforts (e.g., interviews, surveys, or other quantitative and qualitative data collection / analysis) and stakeholder engagement activities
- Design, facilitate, and manage client strategy sessions and operational review meetings
- Conduct analysis and write reports to synthesize the outputs of major interactions in concise documents
- Serve as lead subject matter expert during the development of proposals, which includes writing content and advising on approaches
- Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders to support project outcomes and inform follow-on work or new work opportunities
- Identify future needs of existing clients (beyond current project outcomes) and work with leadership to develop approaches for securing work
Required Qualifications
Must currently hold an active Secret clearance (or higher)Six (6) plus years of relevant work experience in management consulting, organizational development, strategic planning and implementation, communications, change management, and / or facilitationBachelor's degreeExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong meeting design and facilitation skillsStrong relationship management skills and the ability to build, manage, and sustain professional relationships with diverse stakeholdersProven experience developing project approaches, designing critical paths, and defining and measuring success criteriaExperience with federal government agencies or DoD organizationsWillingness to work full-time at client sites in the Washington metropolitan area as needed; occasional travel may be required outside of the Washington, D.C. areaDesired Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in customer experience (CX)- including developing and designing intuitive customer-centered solutions to improve adoption, and streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and performanceMaster's degreeActive DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibilityDemonstrated experience working within or in support of the Defense Security Enterprise, with a strong understanding of its policies, frameworks, and operational prioritiesCertification in change management, Lean-Six Sigma, PMP, or other management consulting-related disciplineExperience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and advising clients on their useBusiness development experience in a consulting environment, including supporting capture efforts, contributing to proposals, and cultivating client relationships to expand engagement opportunitiesClearance
