DESCRIPTION :

The Threat Response Engineer will provide in-depth analysis to assist customers in response to cybersecurity events. The engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Palo Alto Networks products and will directly interact with customer teams. Responsibilities include technical analysis of security events, providing guidance on containment, and developing innovative solutions. This is a highly technical, hands-on role requiring expertise in Palo Alto Networks products, cybersecurity incident handling, and solutions deployed within customer networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Travel (50-60%) to customer sites for cybersecurity event analysis.
  • Analyze logs and generate threat analysis reports.
  • Recommend hardening measures for Palo Alto Networks products.
  • Collaborate with Unit 42 to analyze cybersecurity events.
  • Mitigate threats using Palo Alto Networks solutions.
  • Communicate effectively during crises with all organizational levels.
  • Ensure timely delivery of client needs and project scope adherence.
  • Document and prepare customer documentation packages.
  • Lead or work within a team on various projects.
  • Develop and execute complex security solutions in customer environments.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support customers and the business.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • At least 5 years experience with IDS / IPS solutions and technologies.
  • Minimum 3 years experience deploying and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks security solutions in large environments.
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing security solutions in large environments.
  • At least 3 years experience as a cybersecurity incident response engineer.
  • Extensive knowledge of security threats and network troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of Internet protocols and applications.
  • Technical experience in installing, configuring, and operating high-end security solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

    • DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS :

    Certifications such as GCIA, GCFA, CISSP, PCNSE, CCIE-Security / Routing and Switching, JNCIE-SEC / ENT, CCSE, CCSM are preferred.
