Job Details

As a Research Project Manager II, you will support the management and operational activities of a large biorepository coordinating center sponsored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. You will work closely with Dr. Valapour, lung transplant pulmonologist, and oversee all aspects of small projects or specific phases of larger projects, coordinating the efforts of a project team under the guidance of Project Manager III or IV. Your role involves planning, monitoring, and evaluating project activities to ensure successful achievement of project objectives. This position is located at Main Campus (Crile building) and may require you to travel to different sites. After the new hire period, you will be able to work from home one day a week.

This position offers educational courses and opportunities for collaboration with study team members as skills and knowledge allow, including access to classes through the Global Leadership and Learning Institute (GLLI).

A caregiver in this role works days from 8 : 00 a.m. 5 : 00 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will :

  • Support the management and operational activities of a large biorepository coordinating center sponsored by the CF Foundation.
  • Manage all aspects of small projects or phases of larger projects.
  • Coordinate the activities of a project team under the direction of a Project Manager level III or IV.
  • Accomplish project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities.
  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Prepare and complete action plans.
  • Implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards.
  • Resolve problems.
  • Complete audits and identify trends.
  • Determine system improvements and implement changes.
  • Meet financial objectives by participating in developing forecasting requirements.
  • Participate in preparing an annual budget and scheduling expenditures.
  • Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and three years of experience coordinating or managing various projects OR High School diploma / GED and seven years of experience OR an Associate's degree and five years of experience OR Master's degree and two years of experience
  • Relationship building skills
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include :

  • Project Management Certification (PMP)
  • Background in research
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
  • Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites.
