Emergency Room RN Job Details

Location : Winfield, KS 67156 (Kansas nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (ER)

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025, End : 1 / 26 / 2026)

Shift : Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00), typically 3 consecutive days per week

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Set rotation, every other weekend coverage

Employment Type : Travel RN (locum tenens)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570–$1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or compact state (Kansas RN jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, TNCC

COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)

Ability to float to different hospital units as needed

At least 1 professional reference

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department

Assess, triage, and manage a wide range of acute and urgent medical conditions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Administer medications, perform clinical procedures, and monitor patient progress

Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and documentation

Adapt to changing department needs, including floating to other clinical units
