Senior Medical Assistant

At Merrimack Health , we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $20.00 to $28.00 hourly, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

The Senior Medical Assistant responsibilities include assisting in the day-to-day clinical operations to support the delivery of safe, high quality clinical care, treatment, services and workflows. The Senior Medical assistant in the office setting is a specialty requiring a variety of skills, including but not limited to : Receptionist, registration duties, data collection for billing procedures, charge posting, maintains appointment schedules, and provides appropriate patient instructions per physician orders. This position will be assigned to cover any MA assignment and can be cross trained throughout Primary Care and Specialty Practices.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE :

Required :

• High School diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated MA competencies or equivalent MA experience gained through any of the following : MA Certificate, Associates degree in Medical Assisting, CNA (or LNA), EMT, PCT certificate, Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Medical Assistant with a minimum of relevant 2 years' work experience.
• Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team.
