Human Resources Director
Beacon Hill is seeking a Human Resources Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all HR functions, including payroll, benefits, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance. This individual will play a key role in shaping firm-wide HR policies, advancing operational efficiency, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing workplace culture.
Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing in full compliance with federal and state tax laws. Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, plan renewals, and vendor management. Serve as plan administrator for the firm's 401(k) program and participate in Pension Committee meetings. Lead all aspects of staff recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding, ensuring compliance with applicable employment regulations. Manage leaves of absence, including FMLA, parental, short- and long-term disability, and related reporting requirements. Oversee employee performance management processes, including evaluations, coaching, and improvement plans. Serve as a key member of the Health Insurance and Pension Committees, contributing to benefit strategy and policy design. Direct employee relations matters and ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws. Implement HR technology solutions to improve process efficiency and data accuracy.
10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR role-law firm experience strongly preferred. Proven expertise in payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, and employee relations. Strong understanding of employment law, compliance, and 401(k) administration. Skilled in strategic HR planning, performance management, and organizational development. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree required; PHR, SPHR, or SHRM certification preferred. Demonstrated success leading HR functions within a professional services or legal environment.
